U.S. Chamber, AZ Republic endorse Jonathan Paton
July 27thJonathan Paton is proud to announce that he has received the endorsement of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the latest in a series of major endorsements for his campaign against Gabrielle Giffords.
"I'm honored that our campaign has been endorsed by a prestigious organization like the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, which has been fighting against the disastrous economic policies coming out of the current Congress," Paton said. "I've spent my life fighting for tax cuts, smaller government and greater economic freedoms. I'll do the same in Congress and turn our country around."
Also today, Jonathan Paton was endorsed by the Arizona Republic, the state's largest newspaper. The Republic called Jonathan a "strong candidate who can mount a credible campaign against Rep. Gabrielle Giffords."
"Paton is a solid candidate who could make the November election a real contest," the Republic said.
Jonathan Paton, a Republican, was born and raised in Southern Arizona. Now a Captain in the U.S. Army Reserves, Jonathan served in Iraq in 2006 and 2007. In the state Legislature, Jonathan helped pass the largest tax cut in state history, the largest cut to government spending in state history, Arizona's new immigration law and he wrote the nation's first law to crackdown on human smuggling.
